My new pets arrive

My first swarm arrives in the back of a ford Fiesta, before being transported by wheelbarrow to a deluxe meadow, that I hope might tempt them to stay. While they can fly up to two miles to find nectar and pollen, they do best with less “travel time” so I think this will suit them and hopefully increase honey production. In fact my wild flower meadow has been sown with bees in mind – flowering from Spring to Autumn.

There is also water close by to dilute the honey and cool the hive during hot weather. You will notice that they are in a national which is the preferred hive of my bee mentor.
